Péczely Gy: Gestaltung der Niederschlagszuversicht im Einzugsgebiet der Donau

(Pattern of Precipitation Security on the Catchment Area of the Danube)

Summary: In the papper it is pointed out that the investigation of the annual variation and of the geographical distribution within a given region of any statistical quantity describing the variations of the monthly and annual precipitation amounts is indicating the variation in the roles that the various climatical centres of action are exhibiting in the course of a year. A parameter designed by B is introduced (equation 5) which is equal to the quotient of the values derived from a given series of precipitation data possessing a probability of 5 % or, respectively, of 10%. The main features of the temporal and special pattern of this quotient are studied by using data from 110 stations from the catchment area of the Danube possessing a rather long series of observations.
