Kiss Á, Károssy Cs: Charakteristiken der Tagesschwankung der Temperatur auf dem südlichen Teil der Ungarischen Tiefebene

(Characteristics of the daily fluctuations of temperature in the southern part of the Great Hungarian Plain)

Summary: The authors deal with the daily fluctuations of the temperature forming during the central months of the seasons (January, April June, October) at two observation stations situated in the southern part of the Great Hungarian Plain.

The frequencies of the daily fluctuations, computed from a series of 30 years, are analysed also from the macrosynoptical aspect, and the parameters of the distribution of the fluctuations forming in the different macrosynoptic situations are shown. From a series of 60 years the distributions of the largest fluctuations occurring in the above-mentioned months are computed.

The monthly occurring largest daily fluctuations appear in certain macrosynoptic situations with a significantly larger frequency than the basic probability of the occurrence of the above-mentioned macrosynoptic situations.

The values of the daily fluctuations, to be expected with a given probability, (these values are expressed by taking the monthly average of the fluctuations as a unit) – the so-called „relative fluctuations" – proved to be of nearly the same value at the two observation stations.
