Wagner R, Takács L: Vertikale Temperaturschichtung im Boden und ein mathematisches Modell derselben

(Vertical stratification of the soil temperature and its mathematical model – I. Vertical zones of the soil temperature)

Summary: On the basis of the particularities of the vertical thermal conduction, taking place in the soil, the following temperature zones can be found:

a) daily inversion layer showing daily divergence- and convergence-levels of thermal conduction;

b) daily active layer in whose lower level practically no daily fluctuations of the temperature can be found;

c) annual inversion layer in which divergence- and convergence-levels can be found in the effect of the annual temperature-wawe;

d) annual active layer, where in the lower layer no annual fluctuation of the temperature can be found.

Under that one is the layer e, the zone ruled by the geothermic gradient.
